About the performance

Living alone on a remote northern coast, Fillyjonk is constantly afraid that disaster is about to strike. To protect herself, she rarely leaves home, and even ordinary days are filled with anxiety. Her fear also prevents her from building a neighbourly relationship with Gafsa, who lives nearby.

Based on Tove Jansson’s work, the production uses poetic imagery to explore anxiety, loneliness, and the process of overcoming fear. It reveals the difference between a life spent avoiding danger and a life lived freely. Fillyjonk’s story invites reflection on freeing ourselves from the fears that confine us.
