About the performance

Just before the performance, the actors face an unexpected problem: Ahmet, the writer who is supposed to resolve a difficult part of the story, fails to arrive. To avoid keeping the audience waiting, the performers create a puppet version of the writer and bring him into the play. A story from the writer’s dream suggests a way forward. So begins the adventure of the White Pencil and the Pencil Sharpener.

The production turns the making of theatre into a game, revealing the possibilities of imagination and ingenuity. Actors and puppets sharing the stage show children how an ordinary object can become a character. The White Pencil’s world encourages creative thinking, appreciation of individuality, and finding solutions together.
